DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Jadaf
Blender bikes
Two pedal-powered blender bikes, one in DoubleTree navy and lime, one in StrEat Culture black and gold, branded from the wheel disc to the down tube.
Brief
DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Jadaf wanted a guest activation with no plug and no screen: a bike you pedal to blend your own drink. Two of them, each carrying a different brand. One for the hotel itself, built around the warm cookie every DoubleTree guest gets at check-in. One for StrEat Culture, the hotel’s bar, in black and gold.
Process
Visuals first. Each bike was mocked up on the base frame so the hotel could sign off the whole treatment before anything was printed: wheel disc, brand plate, frame lettering, the lot.

The wheel discs do the talking. A full-bleed print, laminated and fixed to a white rim ring that screws through to the wheel, so the graphic sits flat and stays put when the wheel is spinning under a rider. DoubleTree’s disc is the cookie, edge to edge. StrEat Culture’s is a monochrome street scene with gold bubbles rising on one side and gold drops falling on the other.

The blender housing takes a printed brand plate on each side, DoubleTree in lime, StrEat Culture in white on black. Down the tube, cut vinyl: “Your Warm Cookie Awaits” with cookie motifs at each end on the navy bike, “StrEat Culture Dubai” in gold on the black one. Leather saddle and grips, chrome horn, wicker basket. The kind of thing a guest wants to photograph before they ride it.

Pedal, blend, pour. No plug, no screen, no app.
Outcome
Two bikes delivered to the hotel in September 2024, one for the lobby story and one for the bar. Guests pedal, the jug spins, the drink is theirs. No power needed, so the bikes go wherever the activation does.
